"Dance for us, monkey." - Frieza

In much of the music scattered throughout anime, the drums on the recordings are programmed and not actually recorded by a live drummer, and even more so, many of those songs have never been played before in a live setting by a full band. This makes some of that work not only of the most difficult, but some is seen as generally impossible to be played as written. Finding a drummer both capable and willing to take on this role was no easy task, but with a drummer like Kieffer, there are no limits to what we can do.

You may have seen us refer to Kieffer online or on stage as "The Apeman", and unlike Frieza who may call Goku the same as a slur against saiyans, we're actually using this as a term of endearment for how disgustingly hard and fast this kid can play drums. Kieffer is the youngest member of our band, and in many ways, is our little kid prodigy. He's one of a kind, and for years he was a drummer in and out of groups with other musicians that simply couldn't stack up his skill level, but he kept playing anyways simply because it's all he wanted to do. Finding him was like finding a shiny Pokémon, but like, without the shiny charm or any of the chaining methods in the modern games, just pure RNG. If it wasn't for Kieffer, The Anime Band may have never taken shape at all, and all of what we're doing now may have remained a pipe dream as we fought to find a drummer to fill this role.
